CHANGING HOW THE WORLD VOLUNTEERS

HI, MY NAME IS MÍŠA AND…

Woman with short hair wearing a black shirt and a pendant necklace, smiling against a purple background.

I love connecting people, ideas and resources. I am a community builder, production manager, volunteerism expert, sustainability consultant, educator, speaker, and artist.

I am deeply passionate about volunteerism and sustainability. My work is rooted in volunteerism - making it accessible and desirable -  so that people might participate together as members of a caring society creating a bright and balanced future.

To attain a dignified, sustainable future, I believe we need to seek and strengthen pathways for social justice, civic participation, and community engagement in circular and sharing economies.

I bring unique perspectives and a mosaic of professional and personal experience to the table. Including:

  • Two decades of experience in organizing, production, and communications,

  • 17 years focused on sustainability in creative industries, including theatre and film,

  • 15 years innovating in event management and community design, working with Burning Man and Wave of Help.

I thrive when I’m building systems and networks with measurable impacts across borders, disciplines, and communities. Join me in uniting creativity, practicality, and a vision for a brighter future.

PROFESSIONAL ME

Woman presenting a slide about sustainability with a house-shaped structure made of blocks labeled "Social" and "Environment".
  • My mission relates to making volunteering as easy as booking a hotel on booking.com.  It is based on the belief that volunteering is a key tool for socially and environmentally just transformation of society and civilization resilience and that new technologies can help us improve this tool effectively and efficiently.

  • The question is not why to bother with sustainability in art/theatre/film or in general, but why not?!

Sustainability is the ability to support or maintain a process continuously over time, why would we not want to do that with art and/or our lives?!

As a sustainability advocate I have been driving the development and implementation of  sustainable practices in the Czech creative sector since 2007. I’ve been creating substantial systemic changes and developing educational curriculum at Academy of Performing Arts in Prague towards sustainability and good environmental practices in both Performing and Audiovisual sectors. As a Greenfilming.cz manager I've been one of the instigators of newly establishing Czech Platform for Sustainable Audiovision shaping the whole audiovisual industry in Czech Republic.

  • Through my work with vibrant communities of artists, actors, educators, volunteers of various professions, and IT developers, to name only a few, I’ve learned how to balance the special and specific needs of an individual while cultivating the community as a whole, building trust and acting as a bridge between the community and the organization. I thrive in the nuanced and tailored desired outcomes, which I conduct with care for each facet of the larger community.

  • From theatre and film production, via international exhibitions, developing and launching local and international conferences, creating educational programs, and working with Global Network of representatives and ambassadors I possess quite extensive experience with project development and management. I love production not because I love to solve problems (but I do, there is little detective in me as well) but because I love to think and to plan in a way that prevents the problems to happen.

  • I am not only used to think outside the box, but I love to play with the boxes!
